Abstract:
Self-employments are so important nowadays especially in urban areas since globalization and rural-urban migration have rendered many people jobless. The lack of employment contributes creation of burglars/intrusions to our homes and this causes loss of our properties. So due these intrusions happening, there is a need of conducting a project to design an alerting system to alert home owners in case of intrusion.
So this project aims to construct an electronic alarm system that will help to prevent theft (intrusion) of properties, promote security and safety of people in our homes.
The system will detect any unauthorized person (intruder) and produce an alarm loud enough to notify the owners whenever (intruder) is trying to enter the house.
This system has been developed to improve the existing security system whereby a hired security guard may fail to notice an intruder entering in a house.
For successfully completion of this project, various stages have been involved such as Literature Review whereby various sources such as books were consulted in search for useful ideas which would help with the system design. Till this moment all the data that were needed for accomplishment of this project were collected and analyzed successfully and finally the system has been designed and the prototype was built and tested. The prototype fulfilled the stated project objective.
