Abstract:
Automatic audio fader is an electronic circuit which is used to control the audio output when someone is using a microphone while the music is playing at the same time. Due to serious problem facing DJs of long standing, frequently changing the audio music level whenever someone is speaking using a microphone resulted in designing of AAF circuit to eliminate the problem.
The circuit is built to allow two inputs. Whereby one input is the controlled input in which the circuit will receive as the normal input which is being broadcasted, and the second input is the controlling input in which the automatic audio fader circuit will make the preference on any input signal coming from this input to be broadcast at the output loudspeaker while fading the controlled input which is in play (i.e. music). Through that, when ones happen he/she wants to speak to address the audience in the conference, concert or public addressing by using Microphone or any other input device, the controlled input is that of the music in playing and the controlling input is that of the input device (i.e. Microphone) when someone is addressing. For any input signal detected on the controlling input, the music has to fade out automatic without concerning the DJ to lower the level of music in order to be heard clearly.
According to the systematic methodology taken on designing and implementations, the system was able to fade-out the music in playing and allow the controlling signal to the output. By so doing the automatic audio fader is intended to eliminate the manual operations on controlling the output audio sound on music systems.
