Managers can achieve maintenance cost management by identifying and developing appropriate maintenance costing measures. Proper modeling can prompt creating these solutions to improve maintenance cost management system. This study aims to assess the factors contributing to the cost of maintenance at Pivotech Company Limited, develop a maintenance cost management model for improving maintenance effectiveness at Pivotech Company Limited, and develop maintenance cost management system to improve the maintenance effective Pivotech Company Limited. The study used a quantitative strategy for data collection and quantifying the problem used a quantitative approach. The researcher used a literature review and a fish bone diagram to identify factors. Multiple regression analysis and SPSS software, version 25 was used to analyse the data. The researcher assessed the model’s reliability and validity. The researcher confirmed the model to be accurate and valid after statistical tests.
Maintenance strategies, human resources, functional quality spare parts, equipment/machinery, and management were identified as factors affecting maintenance cost in Pivotech that were categorized into six groups in the case study. Pivotech can use the general model to predict and explore opportunities for enhancing maintenance cost management. Other similar companies can also benefit from findings. |
