Abstract:
Nowadays, the number of deaths in emergency services in the health sector has increased due to poor management of ambulances used. It is because; there is no means of knowing the exact location for prior preparation of patient treatment and medical assistance when needed. Due to this problem a means of knowing the position of an ambulance and the health status of the patient by providing automatic system for communication between the doctor in ambulance and the doctor at the destined health centre is to be designed.
The solution of the existing problem has designed, implemented, simulated and tested using Proteus Simulation Software through collected and analyzed data. Then the designed prototype was built, tested and resulting in the system which is able to give updates about ambulance location and patient health status to the destined hospital hence initiating prior preparation for treatment.
The achievements obtained from the designed system indicate that the system can be employed in health sector and improve the emergency health services hence minimizing number of deaths in the respective sector. The system designed is also creating a chance for other technician and engineers to improve the design and implement the new advanced electronic ambulance tracking system.
